
Paramount Performance is offering a plug and play economy unit that will reduce the fuel consumption of an LTI TX4 taxi-cab by up to 10%. For an annual mileage of 30,000 this equates to a potential saving of circa £500 per cab, per year, or almost enough in one month for an owner operator to drive FOC from London to Newcastle. The savings per fleet over the whole life of its cabs should therefore be enormous.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars today revealed the first design sketches of its next new model. Known as RR4, the car is due to be launched in 2010 and will sit alongside the Phantom model line-up. RR4 will be smaller than Phantom and powered by a new engine, unique to Rolls-Royce.

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N24 – whose model designation is named after the classic 24-hour event – has claimed its best-ever finish at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, with three cars taking the top three positions in the class.
A team consisting of Japanese journalist Shin-ichi Katsura, Hong Kong-based writer Matthew Marsh, and German racing driver Oliver Mathai finished 18th out of 220 starters in the endurance classic, clinching the SP8 class victory. This eclipses Aston Martin’s previous best finish at the event of 24th in 2006 using the very same car, nicknamed ‘Rose’.
