A Bentley Motors apprentice team has won a special “Spirit of Greenpower” award for its performance in the Greenpower Corporate Challenge which took place at Goodwood race circuit yesterday. The Bentley apprentice team designed, engineered and built the electric powered car which they entered into the Greenpower Challenge as well as a season of “F24+” racing. Bentley Motors has announced its financial results for the year ending 31 December 2007, reporting record revenue and operating profit. For the calendar year, Bentley increased its net revenue by €36m or 2.7% compared with 2006, to set a new record of €1.37bn. Veloce introduces the ‘Essential Buyer’s Guide’ for Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley T-Series
Bentleys Continental GT and Flying Spur are both scheduled for a facelift in the near future and luckily for Bentley enthusiasts Auto.cz has snapped the Flying Spur while out testing. Previous reports suggest the GT and Flying Spur will receive slightly modified exteriors and revised interiors. The photo top doesn’t show much, but jump over to Auto.cz for better photos and an interior spy pic too.
Bentleys new Brooklands Coupe unveiled at the New York International Autoshow last week has already sold it’s first year allocation, and a further 140 cars are already reserved. A limited production of only 500 cars will be produced over 3 years with first cars reaching customers in 2008. The 550hp luxury coupe is said to be available with 550 bespoke options at a starting price of almost $400,000. If you’ve been thinking about a Brooklands then you better get your order in now!
