According to a recent report from Autocar, an all-new ‘DBX’ model could join the Aston line soon after the four-seater Rapide. Aston Martin Chief Ulrich Bez mentioned the DBX in a conversation with Autocar but gave no further details. If we were to speculate we’d say the DBX could be Aston Martins first AWD sports car, which could also use some of Prodrive’s technology they’ve previously demonstrated in their Subaru based P2 concept such as ALS (Anti-Lag System) and ATD (Active Torque Dynamics). Meanwhile, a recent report from Just-Auto.com confirms that Ford and PAG will still play a significant role in Aston Martin R&D going forward. It’ll be interesting to see if Ford and PAG also benefit from Prodrive’s technology.

with x means 10 in roman numbers, the AWD system would have move control over RWD. If anyone remembers the Vanquish in James Bond movie was AWD using a ford explorer set up. maybe thats where they got the idea from. If you watched the extra information in the dvd, they spoke about it having alot of traction, along with the spiked tyres. A V8 Vantage and supercharged like the old DB7, that would be an interesting drive instead of V12’s
